Legacy, is creating a football helmet that will record impact data with an accelerometer and upload this data to a web server via WiFi so coaches can get real time data about how hard their players are being hit. This technology will allow coaches to pull players out before serious head injuries occur, effectively reducing the number of football related concussions. The helmet which we've named the "Legacy Helmet" will be available June 1st, 2015.

Re scoping the project
The Legacy Team came to the conclusion that it is best to re scope the project. Because of difficulties with the TI Exosite and the CC3100, the helmet prototype will be presented in its Ethernet state.

TI Exosite Trouble
The team discovered that the Exosite does not support the CC3100. This is an obstacle because it limits the capability to make the project Wi-Fi compatible. Further research will be done to find out a way around this problem. Failure in doing so might result in re scoping the project on a small scale.

Marketing Presentation
Today the team met with product marketeer, LaRetta Bertram to discuss the essentials of a marketing presentation. Part of the presentation emphasized the importance of including sections that explain the:
-SWOT
-State of the Market
-Value Proposition
-Pre-launch
-Post-lauch

- send email to ti mentors list
- lunch with cathy and candy
- football helmet
- ask dave about cc3100
- how data is getting from sensor hub to control to wifi
- Use UART and needs to formatted on the board. the interface we’re using with ethernet may be a different (SPI) interface from what we’re going to use with wifi
- update blog
HR person
-how things are going
enriching educational experience or not (feedback)
Meeting with Dave
- Orange light needs to be gone (needs to be reset)
- red light needs to be on (shows there is power)
- Green light needs to be on and this is missing (shows the device is ready)
- Problem is the connection between CC3100
- need to look up CC3100 and Tm4C guide (not available)
- basically couldn’t figure it out
- figure out if the problem is a jumper

CCS Problems
Two members of the team continue to have problems with CCS, we hope to fix this problem and run the demo by the next week.
Our team member Trevor has made progress with his work and has successfully communicated between the launchpad and sensors
